Our vision and mission is simple: We want to bring the best LDS movie entertainment to you, your family, and your friends. Regularly.

Writer and director Christian Vuissa is a native of Austria and graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University with a BA in Media Arts Studies. He is considered one of the leading directors of LDS entertainment and is best known for his visual storytelling and strong sense for cinematic detail.

Plates of Gold is Christian's fourth feature-length film. His other award-winning movies are the LDS favorites One Good Man (2009), The Errand of Angels (2008), and Baptists at Our Barbecue (2005).

Christian also founded the annual LDS Film Festival in 2001, which attracts thousands of visitors each year. He joined the Church in 1992 and served a mission in Germany from 1994-96. Christian currently lives in Provo, Utah, and Dornbirn, Austria, with his wife Kirsten and three children Anika, Henry, and August.

Plates of Gold follows Joseph's early adult years and portrays the events that lead up to the publishing of The Book of Mormon and the founding of a new worldwide church. The film also details Joseph's personal life and his desire to find forgiveness, acceptance and salvation from God.

The Deseret News called the movie "breathtakingly beautiful and historically meaningful" and "a masterpiece, both in story and in rendition." It is a "tremendous homage to the man regarded as the prophet who brought the Church of Jesus Christ back to the earth." And Church scholar Joseph Fielding McConkie stated that "for those who love the taste of truth, this movie will be a feast."
